Individual - SaaS Integration & Innovation Idea
PupPeroni is a brand that embraces a unique bond with your canine companion. The project involves delving into the brand essence and incorporating e-commerce solutions seamlessly into the current website. It also focuses on the integration of SaaS features and introducing an inventive concept to enhance customer engagement, encouraging them to return to the e-commerce store for purchases.
The project is structured into four distinct phases, each playing a crucial role in crafting the brand journey while preserving its inherent brand identity.
Understanding the brand, its mission, vision, and values.
Defining the persona and current user journey map.
To integrate an e-commerce component into the brand for a seamless purchasing experience of products.
To integrate SaaS feature aimed at customer retention or acquisition.
A unique idea that will further engage customers and bring them back to the eCommerce store to buy.
Established in 1897 in Orrville, OH, the Pup-Peroni® brand commemorates our unique bond with our four legged best friend. Known for crafting a range of flavorful dog treats, Pup-Peroni began as a division of Del Monte before being acquired by Big Heart Pet Brands. Subsequently, in 2015, the J.M. Smucker Company acquired Big Heart Pet Brands.
A fictitious user persona was created to analyze the needs and pain points of customers who visit the website.
Ratings and Review
By offering valuable reviews, the platform facilitates informed decision-making for users, encouraging potential customers to explore and try out the product. This not only adds a significant element of credibility but also provides a diverse range of insights from other customers. The emotional connection established through these reviews further enhances the overall user experience.
Acknowledging the recurring inconvenience of monthly pet food purchases, we introduce the Pet Profile feature. This functionality enables customers to craft individualized dog profiles by providing details such as their pet's name, age, breed, birthday, and preferred PupPeroni treats. Once the treats are chosen for each unique pet profile, they will be automatically dispatched to the customer every month. This concept not only enhances customer loyalty and trust but also contributes to a boost in product sales.
Enhanced the PupPeroni website's sitemap by distinctively organizing pages and establishing a structured layout.
Worked on the new userflow defined after the research and analysis.
Once the user flow, sitemap, and necessary innovation were finalized, I proceeded to design and prototype the project.
1. Collaboration & Communication : Collaboration and communication with the team facilitated a feedback loop and the development of strategies for enhancing the PupPeroni website.
2. Maintaining Consistency & Branding : This project provided valuable experience in working within constraints, particularly regarding the necessity to maintain consistency with the existing branding.
3. Platforms and Integrations : The project expanded my understanding of integrating SaaS solutions into websites and introduced me to various platforms suitable for this purpose. Additionally, it encouraged creative thinking regarding innovative ideas that can improve business outcomes for stakeholders and streamline user experiences.
